Prayers from Psalm 16, #2. Studying scripture is a vital part of the Christian life, as are moments like these where scripture studies us—where we hold it up as a mirror and pour out before the Lord what’s really in our hearts. May this be a safe space for that.

He loved them, mentored them, challenged them, and eventually entrusted to them what belonged to Him. If there’s any way to have a primary takeaway from a trip like this (there’s really not), it would be the gratitude I feel for the privilege of not being first.
